Code of Conduct
Palantir.net commits to respect, safety, and open dialogue, ensuring a positive space for all participants.
Palantir.net is a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment that encourages and inspires mutual respect, collaboration, and a free and open exchange of ideas. Guests, employees, and others are expected to treat others with dignity and respect while in Palantir’s space. This code of conduct applies to all events that occur within Palantir’s space. Some organizations meeting in Palantir’s space may already have their own code of conduct. If this is the case, this code supplements that organization’s existing conduct guidelines.
We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Harassment includes (but is not limited to): offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion, as well as sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, unwelcome following or stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
If you feel threatened or violated as a result of intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct, please immediately notify a Palantir staff member or the event organizer. Further, please immediately notify an organizer if you notice that someone else is being subjected to such behavior. Staff members and/or event organizers will be clearly identified at the event.
Palantir staff members are empowered to take necessary and appropriate actions that may include but are not limited to: verbal warning, expulsion from the premises, and referrals to law enforcement.
Misunderstandings sometimes do occur and we encourage and support people who choose to work things out between themselves in a courteous and respectful manner. People are also encouraged to take responsibility for their words and actions and listen to constructively-presented criticism with an open mind, courtesy, and respect.
If you have any questions about this policy or its application, please contact George DeMet.
